This place is SO cute!! I was there on a sunny morning and the cafe was filled with warm sunshine, which really highlighted the beautiful decor. On a rainy day, I am sure the cafe would have equally cozy vibes. Lovely, warm-hearted staff, tasty drinks and baked goods, and a nice atmosphere. I would love to go back to try some of their soups and sandwiches; they look much more diverse and tasty than your average cafe fare. 5/5 for convenient location too :)

Beautifully decorated space, feels warm and cozy even though it’s a spacious place. Lots of plants and bright colours just makes the right vibe to sit and have a cup of coffee. Their coffee is great and have very unique unmute food options, mostly wraps, sandwiches but yummy. I tried the veggie wrap and oat latte and were super happy with both. Highly recommended! I went off highway a bit off path from where I was going to try this place and I’m very happy with that choice! 😊

Shirin at Bee Knees Cafe & Bakery in Nanaimo is an absolute gem! I recently visited this charming little spot and was blown away by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the incredible fresh-baked goods. Shirin herself is such a delight—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what she does. The pastries and baked goods are out of this world! Everything is made fresh daily, and you can truly taste the love and care that goes into each bite. From the flaky croissants to the decadent muffins, every item was made with perfection. What really made the experience special was Shirin’s hospitality. She took the time to chat with us, recommend her favorites, and even shared a few baking tips. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her customers and takes pride in creating a memorable experience. If you’re in Nanaimo, Bee Knees Cafe & Bakery is a must-visit. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee and a treat or picking up some fresh bread, you’re in for a treat. Thank you, Shirin, for such a wonderful experience—we’ll definitely be back!
