My friend and I ordered the two specialty match drinks (strawberry and early grey). Although they were on the pricier side, the drinks were of great quality. The store was much smaller than I imagined (limited seating and not suitable for studying), but the atmosphere was enjoyable and overall, very cute! I would definitely come back to try more drinks.

Cowdog has been on my cafe list for a while, so I was excited to finally visit! The earl grey matcha was smooth and flavorful, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. I appreciate the oat milk charge being included. I was a bit underwhelmed by the strawberry matcha—the strawberry purée had a thinner, jam-like flavour rather than a fresh, textured purée I was hoping for to balance the matcha, but I understand this is my personal preference. I was disappointed they didn't serve the cold drinks in their round clear cups with their signature logo or hot drinks in their branded orange cups. Based on their social media, we expected a more aesthetic presentation, which would have made the experience feel more special. That said, the service was incredibly friendly, and even though it was busy on the weekend, the line moved quickly.

Stopped by after my run for a coffee and was genuinely impressed. The coffee was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. I also tried their cardamom bun—absolutely exceptional, like something you’d find in a top Tokyo coffee spot. The combination of outstanding coffee, delicious pastries, and friendly service makes this place a gem. Plus, the simple, no-tipping menu is a nice touch. Here’s hoping Vancouver gets more spots like this
