We popped into Timbertrain yesterday and had a mixed experience. The space is cool, not quite comfortable or cozy, but nice design. The food selection is limited and the almond croissant was pretty good. My wife tried the flat white with oat milk, which was really well done. I had the pour over, and felt it was a little thin. Not sure if it was the bean or technique. Service was also mixed, one of the stash members was super friendly, and then the other fella was quite grumpy and not friendly at all. For the price point, I wouldn’t return.

Popped in for a matcha as I was in the area for an appointment. I did look up cafes in the area and this one caught my eye for the unique name and space. The seating arrangement is cozy and I would definitely try some of the baked goodies next time, more specifically the carrot walnut loaf!

I had a disappointing experience with the service during my visit. It was disheartening to see how differently we were treated compared to the people who were next in line. I always approach others with a smile and genuine appreciation for their work, so it really stings when that kindness isn’t reciprocated. Perhaps that’s why the coffee didn’t hit the spot this time. It’s a shame!
