I went into James Coffee in Escondido while on vacation with my wife and we both agreed that is was the best coffee shop we had ever been to. I ordered a Mexican Mocha, which I would drink every day for the rest of my life if I could. The care with which every step of the drinks were made showed me how much they care about making the best drink possible. They were all so helpful and accommodating - we fell in love with this place. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, we would give James Coffee 10 stars.

Really nice staff. Pull-apart cinnamon roll/muffin was wonderful. Latte had a pretty design in the foam. Espresso in the latte was bitter - I was there very early, so maybe they hadn't had a chance to calibrate and clean the machine? Atmosphere is casual and clean, but not warm and cozy.

Nice little cafe in downtown Escondido. Nicely decorated and the vibe is very chill. Coffee is decent, and I would choose it any day over generic Starbucks. Still a bit expensive for the quality but worth it for the atmosphere. About $6-7 for a drink. The selection of pastries is a bit limited, would love to see more. Super friendly stuff!!
