Who doesn't love this place? The pastries here are fresh and delicious. I love how clean the store feels. In my opinion the coffee is just okay but overall it is still good. The blueberry chiffon cake is one of my favorites but unfortunately they have raised the price so much that I no longer feel it's affordable

Staff is hit or miss at this location. This particular day wasn’t the day. I always get the same pastry the garlic hot dog pastry. Not sure what happened, the skin was inedible, couldn’t chew through it. Pastry was not cooked all the way thru, nearly completely raw dough in the inside

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Paris Baguette on Chapman and State College on March 6, 2025, around 8 AM. I've been a loyal customer since this location first opened, but after this visit, I don't think I'll be coming back. While at the register, the cashier dropped a chocolate donut on the counter floor while transferring it from the tray to the box. To my surprise, she picked up the fallen donut with the tongs and placed it directly into the packaging box. I asked, "Could you please give me another one?" but instead of apologizing, the employee looked visibly angry. Without saying a word, she took the donut, rushed to the kitchen, and came back with a replacement. Her attitude was so intimidating that I decided to just pay and leave rather than escalate the situation. After paying, I waited for my receipt, but she started assisting the next customer. Only when I said, "Can I have my receipt, please?" did she reluctantly print it out. When I got to my car, I had a bad feeling, so I opened the box to check the contents. The replacement donut was noticeably smaller than the one I had originally picked, and the bottom looked slightly burnt. Out of all the fresh-looking donuts on display, I couldn't understand why she would give me one in such poor condition. I decided to go back inside and request a refund. I asked another employee for help, but he said only the cashier could process refunds. When she returned to the register, her anger was even more obvious. Although she was wearing a mask, her expression and body language showed how much she disliked helping me. Her hands trembled as she processed the refund, as if she was struggling to contain her frustration. I was shocked that someone with such an unprofessional attitude was working in customer service. I've been coming to this Paris Baguette regularly because of its convenient location and the friendly service I experienced when it first opened. I even told one of the employees how happy I was to have a location near my home. Although there are other Paris Baguette stores near my house, I always chose this one because the staff used to be so kind. Unfortunately, after this visit, I don't feel comfortable returning. What concerns me even more is the lack of proper hygiene. If an employee is willing to place a dropped donut into a customer’s box right in front of them, it makes me wonder if similar things happen when no one is watching. I understand that working alone at the register can be stressful, but that's no excuse to treat customers rudely. All I wanted was a clean, fresh pastry, and instead, I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. I hope the management takes action to improve both customer service and hygiene standards at this location.
