Pushkin's Bakery & Cafe: A Gluten-Free Haven in Roseville : As someone who's gluten-sensitive, I've tried a lot of places to find great meals that fit my diet. I'm really excited to tell you about Pushkin's Gluten-Free Bakery & Cafe in Roseville. This place is a real standout for anyone who needs to avoid gluten. Walking into Pushkin's, you can forget about the hassle of finding gluten-free options. Everything here is safe to eat, which is awesome. And for someone like me, who also can't have milk, tomatoes, and corn, it feels like a safe haven. They even have great vegan choices, and the minimal use of corn by-products is a thoughtful consideration that does not go unnoticed. And with the detailed menu, I can easily steer clear of the tomato. Now, let's talk about their desserts – they're amazing! They have everything from delicious berry cobbler to awesome chocolate cupcakes (I can't remember the exact name, but they taste incredible). There's also brownies, cookies, scones, banana bread, zucchini bread, morning bun, cinnamon buns – you name it. It's hard to pick just one thing, and I usually end up taking a bunch home. No self control when I walk into Pushkin’s 😅😅 Their savory food is just as good. I love their waffles and berries, and I love their chicken tenders with fries, and so does my partner, who doesn't have any food allergies. That shows how good their food is for everyone. While my experience at the Pushkin's in downtown Sacramento was less than stellar. The Roseville cafe reminds me of the great gluten-free food I had in Vienna, Austria. I think they should add a gluten-free strudel to their menu – that would be cool. I also have to mention how great the service is at Pushkin's. The staff are super friendly and fast, even when it's busy. I was impressed by how quickly I could get my food and get back home, even though I live a bit far away. In short, Pushkin's Gluten-Free Bakery & Cafe in Roseville is a fantastic place for anyone, whether you need gluten-free food or just love good eats. It's perfect for any meal or order for a special occasion. I'm really hoping they open another one in Folsom soon! To sum it up, Pushkin's isn't just a bakery and cafe. It's a place where great taste, inclusivity, and awesome cooking come together. Definitely worth checking out, no matter what your diet is.

Im giving it 4 stars because I realize it does cater to people with food allergies, etc, so I'm giving an extra start for that, otherwise it would have been only 3 stars. This was my third visit to this place. The place is big and airy, but fees somewhat sterile. The metal chairs aren't inviting, so it doesn't give off the cozy "I wanna sit down and read a book" vibe, but more of a "get in and get out" kind of feel. Pastries: blueberry muffin I got last time was dry and crumbly, tasted more like corn bread, so I wasn't a fan. It also had dry blueberries or some kind of blueberry substance, not fresh ones, so it didn't help with moisture. This time, I got a chocolate chunk scone. It's gluten free and vegan, so I guess that explains why it was sooooo sooooo dry, like sand. It literally fell apart when I picked it up and turned into a crumbly mess that could only be eaten with a spoon and with a lot of liquid. It tasted like flour and some kind of fat, and there was no flavor whatsoever. Vanilla would have helped, because those chocolate chunks were waxy and tasteless as well. I've had way better GF baked goods, so they've got to do some improvements to their recipes. The coffee was OK, not very strong. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

The quality of the coffee is outstanding. I love stopping here for coffee or Italian soda. Some of the bakery items are good, but not all of them. We haven't tried that many so it would be unfair to judge them. They do a good job toasting the bread before making the sandwiches which helps the gluten free bread to be loss soggy. I like to take it a step further and ask for wet ingredients like mayo or syrup to be put on the side, and that way I can dip my sandwich right before I take a bite. It's nothing the restaurant is doing, it just the nature of the gluten free bread/buns. It absorbs everything and isn't as hardy or study as regular bread. I'm glad this place exists because there are not many restaurants I can eat at. When I'm craving a breakfast sandwich or a cookie, it's nice to have this as an option. Very clean, nice and helpful employees!
