Review: A Stylish Café with Great Vibes but Disappointing Coffee I’ve had my eye on this café for a while – it’s located right on a busy street, yet it somehow manages to create a charming, relaxed vibe. The outdoor seating is inviting, and the interior feels stylish and spacious. Despite being almost always packed, you can usually find a spot if you’re patient enough. Their bread selection looks amazing – I didn’t try any, but they seem to be both delicious and, well, not exactly cheap. A highlight worth mentioning is their spicy garlic chili oil. I bought a bottle, and it’s seriously good. What I found impressive is that they sell it at the same price you’d find online – no overpriced gimmicks here, which is fair. Now, on to the main point of any café experience: the coffee. And unfortunately, this is where things went downhill for me. I ordered an iced cappuccino and a flat white, both with oat milk. The baristas were incredibly friendly, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed by the coffee itself. The flat white tasted off – for a moment, I thought they had mistakenly used regular milk because the oat milk wasn’t great, and the foam consistency didn’t do it any favors. The coffee flavor was also underwhelming. I’ve been trying a lot of coffee lately, and sadly, this one ranked at the bottom of my list. Of course, taste is subjective, but at over $13 for two drinks, I expected a better experience. Overall: A beautifully designed café with friendly staff and some cool extras like the spicy oil. Unfortunately, the coffee didn’t live up to expectations. Maybe next time I’ll give the bread a shot – and hope that one day the coffee quality matches the rest of their offerings.

Freaking LOVE this place. I hit it up every time in SF. Avocado toast 💚💚💚💚 best in the world! Cappuccino is very nice too (bonus points for cute mugs). Impossible to get a table, but that’s a good sign. This is THE SPOT! They have bread making classes too. People are superrrr lovely here. Open concept kitchen. Fresh, exciting food / coffee. Outdoor seating too. I think the hummus toast is good too. Anything on the country bread. Pretty big portions!

I had the cinnamon sugar toast and a latte. The cinnamon sugar toast was really good! Crunchy crust and the cinnamon sugar was sweet but not too sweet. The latte was also tasty, as someone who doesn't normally get lattes. My friend got the avocado toast which he thought was quite nice. Service was quite fast and friendly despite it being busy (Sunday, ~11am).
