Inside the food hall The Square, Nativo is a go-to coffee shop that creates Latin-inspired coffee and food. Meeting a friend here on a Friday, Nativo's barista was very friendly and seemed passionate about introducing people to Nativo's coffee. The Cafe Bombon was very good. It comes with sweetened condensed coconut milk and nutmeg. The breakfast arepa hit the spot too. It comes with a fried egg, cheese, and a very tasty green sauce. I added bacon to it. Nativo also has sparkling water out for guests, seating, and a little book shelf with books for guests.

One of the best coffee shops in DC! Great lattes and top-notch food. Their sandwiches have a freshly made and toasted bread that is amazing. Also one of the most delicious mocha lattes I've ever had, if you like those you must try the one here.

I had a great experience at Nativo! The service was incredibly friendly, the lattes were delicious, the arepas and the sandwiches blew me away I absolutely loved it. You'd expect a cafe nestled within the square to serve frozen sandwiches but they exceeded my expectations , I cannot understand how they had such fire arepas cooking up in the back 10/10. My only complaint is the size of the drinks— the small latte was really tiny. While the quality and service were top-notch, I just wish the portions were a bit larger.
