This wonderful Black-owned spot is a new favorite. The atmosphere is truly unique, especially on Thursdays from 7-9:30 PM when they host poetry nights – a must-experience! I loved the no-phone policy, it really encourages you to be present and connect. The table setup is fantastic, whether you're solo working or dining with friends. I particularly enjoyed the people-watching orientation towards the sidewalk, it adds a nice touch of urban charm. Plus, they have a really cool vintage space to explore! And let's talk about the drinks – I had a delicious 16 oz lavender latte for $6.92, which was well worth it. It's a really great place to support a local business. I appreciated the unique vibe and the focus on community. Highly recommend checking it out!

I just moved to Atlanta and from the point of this review, I’ve only been here about 2 months. Urban Grind is a gem find for sure. The staff are kind and helpful and there’s a steady flow of creatives who frequent this place. I’m happy to be one of them as it has become my go-to to set up shop and work during the day. It is small, so not ideal for group meetings, but it’s never packed, and has outdoor seating, so you can always get a seat without feeling crowded. It does close rather early, 6:00, so post work folks kind of miss out, but that’s most coffee shops. Still, from the pleasant drinks and treats, the available printer and Wi-Fi, and the events like Thursday Open Mics, it may not be everyone’s vibe, but I can’t imagine anyone not liking it. And I can’t help but treat myself to a small cake when I arrive. 😊

This is a lovely hidden gem in the City! If you love QUIET places, with good vibes and an amazing atmosphere this is it! I found a new relax place away from the noise. I can actually think! Most of all the hospitality is just a warm welcomed hug! The owner I believe was an angel! I will be back ☺️
