Stayed in Cabbagetown for less than 36 hours and had brunch to start the day and ended the day with a drink, app, and dessert. Perfection. Warm, friendly, quirky atmosphere. Felt like a big hug stepping in. You feel like family in a locals favorite place. Recommend sitting at the bar and taking in the effervescent atmosphere of worth and delight. It was a highlight to our stay in the neighborhood.

The food is delicious and the prices are great. I loved the espresso martinis, baked Brie appetizer, and the seafood pasta (yum!). The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because the man who greeted us was very rude when seating us at our table.

In a time where genuine hospitality seems increasingly rare, Liz stood out as a true gem. From the moment we sat down, Liz made us feel incredibly welcome. She was attentive, warm, and possessed an uncanny ability to anticipate our needs. It wasn't just about taking our order and delivering our food; it was about creating a truly enjoyable and memorable dining experience. Liz went above and beyond, noticing the small things that made a big difference. She recommended the perfect wine pairing for our meal, and even brought us an extra side of her favorite sauce when she noticed we were enjoying it. She addressed things that we didn't even know that we wanted or needed. Her recommendations were spot on, and her timing was impeccable. Beyond her exceptional service, Liz's radiant personality and genuine kindness truly shone. She was so pleasant and engaging, and her smile was infectious. Both my husband and I remarked on how refreshing it was to encounter such a delightful and dedicated young woman. In todays current climate, it is a breath of fresh air. It is wonderful to know that there are still people that take pride in their work, and that deliver such a high level of customer service. Carroll Street Cafe is fortunate to have Liz on their team.
