So much was happening. 1. You walk in and there isn’t really a theme. Having an eclectic and/ or vintage them is great but this was very over stimulating. There were cheap valentines and st. Patrick’s day decor. It’s April. 3. So much was for sale. So it didn’t feel like a coffee shop rather a disorganized thrift store. 4. I got a coffee frappe that was red velvet. It did not taste like coffee rather PURE sugar with a red velvet flavor. It was very artificial. Not one hint of espresso. Also I watched them make it and I didn’t see them use the espresso machine or add any coffee liquid. For $6 I took three sips and threw it out. :( 5. The person working which looked like the owner was doing paperwork in the lounging area which did not make me want to stay. Do your business in the back or somewhere else. They then asked me if I was ready to order and I just arrived. Then when I told her what I wanted there was no comment just instant made it and checked me out. It was not personable. If I am going to a local shop I want some sort of interaction. Maybe not everyone in Waynedale is like that but it was so stale. It made it awkward. 6. There was a cup of something behind the counter. Just a random styrofoam cup. The whole coffee bar just seemed not put together, disorganized and dirty. My hope is I can try it again one day and it will be better. However, I was not impressed.

My search for trying new coffee shops around town brought me to Tazza Cafe in Waynedale. If you find the license branch or post office, these guys are located at the back left of their parking lot. It's not super easy to see from the road. When I'm trying somewhere new, I usually get a drip coffee and find a corner to post from. Right after I walked in the door, I knew this was going to be a different experience. There were two people working, and a group of guys that clearly meet often if not daily. I found a spot to put my things down and went to the register. Tazza has so many food items and drinks that I only included a portion of the menu. I ended up talking with the employees for so long, that I thought I wasn't going to get any work done. It's definitely awesome to meet strangers and immediately feel like you've known them forever. Thanks Jenah Over the course of the visit, I had my coffee refreshed a few times, and I was asked to sample a couple of their new pasta salads. One is called the Bloody Mary pasta and the other is called Dilly Dilly pasta. One had more of a tomato base with pepperoni and bacon chunks in it. The Dilly Dilly is vinegar based and has tomato and olives in it. Kind of a Mediterranean flavor. Both were really good. When I was packing to leave, I was presented with a bag containing a bagel bomb. I think the best way to describe it is that it's kind of like a jelly donut, but with bacon and cheddar inside a bagel without a hole. I didn't eat it until the next day, but it was fantastic! Apparently they have a few different ones available. One that we did talk about that wasn't in stock has sausage gravy inside the bagel. I imagine it to run on the plate a little like a lava cake or over easy egg. It definitely sounds interesting. These guys take great pride in making sure everything is as fresh as it can be. I really appreciate that. They do have a couple special coffee drinks worth mentioning. One of those is that they offer a Harry Potter flight of 4 coffee flavors served hot or cold. These do take a little more time, so they prefer you call ahead. Tazza also has a flight with some of their best drinks from last year. They have an Oppenheimer, a Barbie latte, and a Polar Express latte on that flight. If you made it through the photos, you can see that no floor space is wasted. There are all sorts of things from jewelry, soap, jellies, insulated mugs, pet supplies/treats and probably a dozen other things that I didn't notice on the shelves for sale. This was definitely no ordinary visit. I certainly left some things out. That's a little far from home for me, but I think I'll definitely return soon. Have you tried Tazza? What do you think? #onforkstoforks #foodie #eatlocal #coffeetime #coffeeaddict

This is a small cafe that has a couple of rooms for dining. They have tons of vegan and non-vegan options. I ordered a vegan sausage breakfast sandwich. It came with vegan sausage, vegan cheese, and vegan egg, along with (optional) vegan cream cheese and optional veggies (tomato, cucumber, and red onion) all served on a toasted bagel (not sure what kind but it was good). It was delicious and filling! They also have a pretty big drink menu of coffees and in house non-coffee creations. The staff is happy to help advise if you don’t know what to order, too! Very friendly and laid back atmosphere. I’ll definitely be visiting again! They also carry some baked goods, vegan jerky & cheese, and some other things, so it’s worth a visit! 🤗
