Black dog is a not-so-hidden gem. I wish I lived here in Kansas City so I could spend more time here. Its a beautiful place, with kind people and a great atmosphere. The pastry I got was delicious, a raspberry and lime desert pastry. I also ordered a regular iced latte, which was also delicious. The espresso was delicious! Very warm feeling, not too sharp or bitter. Over all very nice place and I would absolutely reccomend giving it a try.

This cozy coffee shop was definitely on the expensive side for 2 drinks, 2 breakfast burritos, and a pastry. we were looking at about 40 bucks i could have had a full breakfast for that price. The burritos were good, but I wish they had more of the sauce they put in them. I'd say the drinks were pretty average

Great spot! Enjoyable place for coffee or to grab a bite for breakfast and lunch. I enjoy their coffee and enjoyed their breakfast Sunrise Sandwich even more. The pastries look good though I have not yet tried them. Everything seems to be made with good quality and the service is great. Only con in my experience is it usually seems quite busy, so I can’t guarantee you’ll have a spot to dine in. Definitely worth the visit!
