Awesome coffee! The lightning ice coffee was my favorite! The thunder is less sweet and really good. Went there several days in a row. Even bought a t-shirt. Pretty inside & friendly staff. Stays busy—Limited parking and difficult getting in and out but still worth it. Went to the other one on Texas and it is bigger in the downtown just wasn’t as comfortable or enjoyable.

I stopped at Rhino Coffee located at 721 Southfield on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 11:05 am after a client meeting. Upon entering the building one person was ahead of me ordering 2 drinks/food and I was next to be waited on. The staff member waited on me and was very hospitable as I ordered a small cappuccino with 2 extra shots of espresso. The total price was approximately $7.50 After stepping back to wait +/- 20 customers came in for a variety of mobile orders and placing their orders at the counter. One young man was working at the espresso machine preparing orders so I observed that my wait time might have been longer than anticipated when choosing this coffee shop for a drink. As I waited multiple individuals who ordered what appeared to be similar drinks after me entering the building were served before me. I approached the counter to inquire if they forgot about me and the staff member pointed to a cup which was 3 down from what was being made. I was visibly disappointed that my wait was taking longer than necessary I chose to step back to wait again. Five additional minutes go by as I stood back in plain site of the employees and another customer was served who came in after I did. This led me to telling the employee to just cancel my drink and I walked out. This was at 11:28am I am extremely disappointed with my experience. While I wasn't expecting to have extremely fast service I definitely wasn't expecting a 20+ minute wait to not leave with a small coffee. I would be remiss if I didn't share my experience from this morning. So, if you are searching for prompt service for rudimentary drinks I would not recommend Rhino Coffee on Southfield.

Seriously loved my first time here. I ordered online pickup at a certain time. I ordered the breakfast burrito and iced lightening coffee to go. My order was ready on time. I added greens, jalapeños, avocado & spinach to my burrito and it totally elevated it into a perfect breakfast meal. Burrito is super packed so it's very very filling. It's healthy. The iced lightening coffee is delicious. Parking seems difficult during busy hours. I parked across the street and walked over which is absolutely fine as it's not a busy street to cross. Plenty of seating indoor & outdoors, clean bathrooms. Decent prices for a good meal. Highly recommend and will definitely return. I've returned to this location many times. This time I tried the cheddar jalapeño egg & cheese biscuit. It was very filling & you can taste the jalapeños. It tasted freshly made. Quite oily but that's expected with eating out. Healthier option would be the burrito. But the prices are so reasonable here. $6ish for the biscuit.
