I don’t understand why everyone has given this place such high ratings. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, but the coffee and matcha were disappointing. The taste is definitely not good. I always drink Americano wherever I go, and this one doesn’t even make it to my list. Also, the prices are higher than average. On the positive side, the restrooms are clean, and the seating area is spacious. However, this was my first and last visit. Still, thank you.

We visited Socotra Coffee House on a busy night right before closing, and the staff was absolutely amazing—welcoming, kind, and efficient. I ordered a pistachio latte, and it was incredible—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy high-quality coffee. Highly recommend checking this place out!

This is our absolute favorite coffee house in Ann Arbor! The service has always been great and the coffee is rich and flavorful. The lattes are amazing too! If you like authentic and bold coffee this is the spot for you. The Socotra latte and the honeycomb bread is our favorite. If you get your order for dine in, it’s plated beautifully. Such a fun experience! Socotra is usually busy, but we’ve never had an issue finding a spot to sit. We visit every time we are in Ann Arbor.
