Best pastries in the city, wonderful staff, and lovely service! Love all the new savory treats as well as the use of seasonal & local ingredients. Highly recommend the ham and cheese, bread pudding, cinnamon bun, and basically everything else. Excellent coffee as well.

Consistently hits the mark every time! I’ve been to Birdie numerous times and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of their pastries, whether it be sweet or savoury. Not to mention their cappuccinos are probably one of the best cappuccinos in the area. It’s sad they don’t have seating and the price tends to lean on the more expensive options in St. John’s but you’re paying for quality baked goods. My favourite bakery!

A dangerously delicious place to stop along Water St., but don’t let that stop you. The baked goods are a feast for the eyes, and taste even better. The service is quick, even when there’s a line through to the door. There’s a simple coffee menu, and lots of patio seating just out the front doors. I shamelessly got an apple flip two days in a row.
