The food is not bad but it's not worth the experience. The service was poor, we arrived at the place and we were totally ignored, we had to chase a waitress to ask if we had to be seated or we could take a table ourselves (the two people at the bar looked directly at us and completely ignored us). It seems to me the people at the kitchen had to do everything (from cooking and serving to cleaning up) while the people behind the bar just take orders (they won't do anything beyond that) It's really disappointing because we found that people in Halifax are very friendly and helpful. My suggestion: walk around the corner (not even 2 minutes!) and go to an Italian cafe nearby (we had the best Devil's Chocolate cake there).

The smoked salmon and avocado benny was perfectly done and the cappuccino had a great medium roast flavour. Service was very good. A lot of character in this restaurant. I only wish it were open until later as it closes at 2pm.

Only had a deep dark roast Canadiana. Very tasty! Service was impeccable, friendly and courteous. The place itself is a historical looking spot. Even the light shades look original ‘50s. The glass work on entrance and bar is very nostalgic as well.
