One of the cutest coffee shops we visited had the warmest people. We went on a cold day and had an amazing coffee. We can’t wait to go back!

Portal West is a hidden - and I mean HIDDEN gem in merrimen valley in Akron. It is also a testament that if you have a great product and great service, people will find you and promote you. That’s how I found it and now I’m telling everyone. The coffee is refined and not overpriced. The service is stellar and one of the only places where they will look you in the eye and actually care when they ask “how are you?” Be prepared for unexpected greatness.

This is hands down the best coffee shop I have ever been to. The drink offerings are elegant, creative, and delicious. They have gluten free options on pastries (the strawberry doodle was UNMATCHED, totally complimented my matcha drink). This is my new go to spot. Just wonderful. Service is gracious and kind with attention to detail. They are quick and efficient as well. I had a rough morning and this place really helped me turn my day around. Thank you! I'll be back!
