Stopped in for tea and dessert. Dessert display case had a few nice looking cakes, but we made the mistake of trying the chocolate waffle to share. It was confusing - $19 for essentially a decent piece of brownie and ripe banana pieces, but then a cheap frozen style belgian waffle, low quality chocolate syrup and canned (not real) whipped cream. If I'm paying nearly $20 for a waffle the quality should be better. Try the cakes instead, they looked like proper cafe quality cakes. But wait staff were very nice, decor was noteworthy and they had a live musician there (seems to be a Thursday special event). Didn't try their food, hopefully the quality is better than the sad waffle. At least the tea pots were good and didn't leak.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Symposium Cafe, and it was truly exceptional. The service was prompt and attentive, with friendly staff who made sure our needs were met without delay. The food was outstanding; I opted for the Eggs Benedict, which was perfectly prepared with soft poached eggs and a rich hollandaise sauce. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed morning meal. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. The chef was very kind and came out to check that everything came out nicely. Overall, I highly recommend Symposium Cafe for anyone looking for a delicious breakfast in a welcoming setting.
