The food at Bay Village Cafe is simply delicious—comforting and homey, with a menu that feels like it was crafted with care and attention to detail. Bay Village Coffee house brew tastes tremendous and will now become part of my weekly coffee rotation. They have a nice snack selection offering cookies, scones, brownies, doughnuts and muffins. Gluten free options are available as well. Get your order at the Bay Village walk up window, or park by the front door and a friendly masked face will take your order right at your vehicle. There is wheelchair accessible parking, as well as the entrance once indoor dining is eventually available. I do miss the atmosphere sitting inside. The price was a bit higher than I’m used to when ordering a sandwich and a cookie, and then I took a bite and realized where my money went. If there was anything that I would change, it would be one more layer of meat in the sandwich. They will also turn their sandwiches into a wrap if that’s what blows your hair back. FYI. If I were married, I would leave my wife for a Sweet Marie Bar. They are that good.

I hate leaving not so great reviews but things have changed quite a bit since I was here two years ago. They no longer offer the vegan sandwich but did have two soups that were vegan. I had the potato and leek and it unfortunately had no flavor at all. I had to add lots of salt and pepper. The Chai latte was also very bland. They used to have more vegan options. They might have had some vegan treats but the young man working the counter didn't know and wasn't aware that butter has milk in it. He admitted he's very new and he was very nice but overall it was a very bland and disappointing experience. I don't expect vegan options from everywhere but it was really disappointing to see they removed their vegan sandwich.
