Ah, Liberation Coffee—where freedom reigns… unless you have a pet. I walked in, excited to enjoy a cup of coffee with my furry companion, only to be told that pets aren’t allowed. So much for “liberation,” huh? It’s funny how a place that prides itself on freedom and inclusivity draws the line at well-behaved pets. I guess the only thing liberated here is the coffee beans. Meanwhile, pet owners like me are left out in the cold—literally. If they ever decide to extend their “liberation” to four-legged customers, I’d be happy to return. Until then, I’ll take my coffee (and my freedom) elsewhere.

Liberation Coffee Co. is wonderful. It had an open yet homey feel to it from the moment I walked in. I can't drink anything with caffeine right now and the barista let me know that he could make any espresso drink I wanted with a medium roast. I asked about the decaffeination method, as some still leave a significant amount of caffeine along with less than desirable chemicals. He assured me the coffee was decaffeinated with the swiss water process, which I am very familiar with. It is ideal in that it only uses water and reduces caffeine by 99.99 percent. My mom and I got 2 lates very promptly along with our toaster bagel. The whole time we were there, there were no loud noises, bright lights or anything to disrupt the peaceful mood. I'll definitely be going back!
