Disappointing coffee experience—3/5. The blend lacked depth, the flavors were dull, and the barista seemed unskilled. Both the flat white and cortado were poorly proportioned and failed to meet expectations. Not a place I’d revisit for quality coffee

I went to CG a lot when I was at Baylor and it was only CG and not CG 8th Street. And then I was pretty obsessed with CG Woodway for a chunk of time after they opened. I’ve recently been having weirdly specific iced Cowboy Coffee cravings. I LOVE this place! Yesterday was my first time, and I went twice 😅 This location has an old school + new school situation going on. Go here if you want a change of scenery in your remote/out of office work day. Go here if you need a break from doom scrolling by having a girly chat at the sofa seating. Go here if you’ve FINALLY worked up the courage to ask your coworker or the gal in your lifegroup to coffee since it’s low pressure and doesn’t immediately reveal how you’ve been into them for months and just waiting for just the right moment to shoot your shot. They’ve got booths where the two of you can sit and chat and not notice the gals on the sofa incorporating, “oh they’re totally on their first date” into their girly chat.

I’m not the biggest fan of common grounds’ traditional coffee offerings, but they have pretty good sweet drinks. Definitely get the pumpkin bread whenever it’s available. The vibe here is great, both in and out doors, however, and is great for working and hanging out. Really love the venue.
