If visiting the area of Newport News, I would highly recommend stopping in here for a an excellent coffee, great conversation, and a wonderfully fun atmosphere! This was the most enjoyable coffee experience. I am always looking for a really good cup of coffee and I found this amazing coffee shop when visiting a friend. Buckroe coffee company is truly above the rest. Not only was the coffee delightful and a great afternoon treat, the atmosphere was so welcoming and family friendly. With each purchase of a drink, they allow the customer to pick freely off their beautiful wild flowers. There are also places outside to sit near a playground for the kids. The owner really impressed me as well, with his intentionality in coming over to us and starting a conversation. He personally sources the beans to make sure they are top quality and really understands the science of coffee making. The whole time at Buckroe Coffee Co. was so well thought out, and with a great selection of drinks and creating such a enjoyable atmosphere there is something for everyone!

I’ll start off by saying that when buckroe coffee co first opened, my husband and I tried it and we didn’t think we would return. Some time went by and we decided, why not give it another shot? This was yesterday, and we just left again today!!! The açaí bowls are AMAZINGGG but don’t even get me started on the egg and cheese bagels! They are HUGE! The absolute best egg and cheese bagels my husband and I have had at ANY coffee shop! The only thing I’ll say is that all of the drinks we have ordered here are more on the subtly sweet side. We do prefer our drinks to be sweet, but it’s no biggie - we just ask the baristas and they are able to give us a little more syrup! The service is great, the employees are patient and willing to answer any questions, the drive thru is efficient and such a nice touch for a local coffee spot. Both yesterday and today they had a good crowd in there which makes me happy for a local business! It is pricey but 100% worth it! We woke up this morning and wanted to go again!! Support local and try buckroe coffee co! We cannot wait to go back! We are so happy to have a local gem and we have added this coffee shop to our list of places we would miss if we moved out of state! Keep doing what you’re doing!

Been coming here since the soft open, the coffee is great everyone is so kind and conversation is great here. The owner is in often, I don’t think there’s been a time where I’ve come in and he hasn’t either been there already or dropped in while I was having my coffee. The new renovations really give you a lot more seating and the employees some more room behind the bar. Looking forward to supporting them for years to come.
