My husband and I go here at least once a season to read and enjoy yummy lattes and breakfasts. The people who run the shop are super kind, and they do a great job with their menu. I almost always get the goat cheese liege waffle with egg— it rocks my world every time! 🍳 We also got corn meal pancakes and a pistachio latte (all 3 pictured). There are a handful of seats available outside on their porch as well. There is a food pantry by the front door, as well as a small second-hand bookstore on the stair case.

I have been a regular patron at Mea Culpa for the past four years. The menu is unique, packed with fresh ingredients, tastes delicious, and modifiable for people with dietary restrictions. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating to customers needs. The atmosphere is relaxing, clean, and comfortable. There is even a little book pop up in the front of the cafe that adds extra charm. Thanks for all that you do Mea Culpa! Norfolk would not be the same without you!

This is the BEST coffee shop in the area. Hands down. Creative combinations, warm inviting space, and the best food. Savory or sweet, everything is consciously made and thought through. And there are BOOKS! For sale and to flip through while you are there. Keepin’ it classic. 📖☕️ * The savory oatmeal and liege waffles are items you cannot get elsewhere in the area (and beyond…) they will not disappoint. 🤤
