We came here to pick up some pastries as a gift on our way to a friend's dinner. It was the right choice as their selection of sweet dessert options were phenomenal. We ended up getting some additional pastries for our breakfast the next time. The chocolate almond croissant and the large cookies are so easy to recommend. The only issue was our server. We had to repeat our order multiple times. That wasn't a huge issue. But after she took our payment she took 5 minutes chilling out, we could clearly see she was just chatting with other coworkers. I had to ask a few times for our order from her and another server before I saw her working on the order. I could see the other staff behind the counter were getting a bit frustrated by her too. About 9 minutes after we paid we saw her starting on our order, and we actually saw her take 6 minutes putting our order together. Overall it took 15 minutes to pack 4 total pastries into paper bags. There were very few customers behind us too and we could see Mercury was very well staffed (impressively so). We actually wondered if she was inebriated at work. We would come again as we probably won't run into that server but it was a funny experience looking back.

Although I’m not a coffee enthusiast, Mercury’s Coffee seems like a fantastic spot for coffee lovers. They offer an extensive menu with plenty of non-coffee options, along with a great selection of food and sweet treats. The ambiance is welcoming, with plenty of seating to relax or work, and the staff are warm and friendly. Their commitment to quality and service really stands out, making it a great spot for a quick pick-me-up or a leisurely visit.

Wow you'll come here for the coffee but the food is AMAZING! Best counter order breakfast place in the greater Seattle area. I've been here a handful of times (I don't live in Bellevue) but seriously every time I go i can't decide what to order - decadent breakfast sandwiches, hearty quiche, fresh salads if you want to go a bit lighter. I always end up getting two things - one for now, one for later. The turkey pepper jack on pretzel bun is a personal favorite. And trust me on this - if you get a quiche to go, don't have them heat it up, take it home and use your air fryer. You're welcome! Also, Mercury Rising makes the best French press coffee at home! Check the roast dates on the package and you'll see how fresh it is... Final tip - the Redmond location has many of the same food items and is a lot less crowded.
